Day 1 of DE2008, an impression

So, here we are in hot and steamy Hong Kong! Getting all warmed up for the conference tomorrow. Today was an appitizer so to say, there were some very interesting workshops at the venue and there was the dinner with all the keynotes in restaurant Aqua, with a stunning (!!) view over the skyline of HK. A short impression follows:

Workshops:

We welcome you at a ‘well-dressed’ venue at the PolyU in Hong Kong. The first day lots of attendents already grabbed the chance to dive into the topic in one of the workshops. The atmosphere is set: relaxed, casual conversations, serious discussions (ontopic), and even though the air-conditioning is running over hours… our love for Design & Emotion warms the place up 🙂

Keynote dinner at Aqua, Hong Kong:

To welcome our special guests, and appreciated key-note speakers, a dinner was organized at the fantastic Aqua restaurant, on the 30th floor, with a stunning view over Hong Kong island’s skyline. The dinner table was occupied by some of the greatest and well-known experts on this earth, with amongst others Bill Green, Bill Moggridge, Donald Norman, Raman Hui, Victor Lo, Kun-Pyo Lee, Lorraine Justice, and D&E board members Paul Hekkert, Jeroen van Erp and Pieter Desmet. The atmosphere was great, and I had a nice time talking with these inspirational individuals.
