// Read my blog items

Virtual Hosting posted this excellent list today, with the top 100 weblogs and resources that focus on user experience and user centered design. I am honored to be named in between respected blogs I follow myself on a daily basis. Thanks guys!

One small point of critique. Perhaps I would have felt more comfortable in the user experience category. Designing for emotion is actually a part of designing for experiences. In the introduction of that category, it states that it is all about how people experience products…. isn’t emotional experience a very large part of that (if not THE most important influence)? I do agree however with the point made in the user centered design category I am in, that design is more than just aesthetics.

Motto

I believe that consumers nowadays are looking for rich sensorial, emotional and meaningful experiences, not merely for ‘just’ a product or service. It is up to the companies to challenge their designers, R&D department and marketers to (positively) influence the experiential impact of their products and services.
