David Heldt sent me the following information. It is a call for participants for TuttoBeNe 2006.
This spring TuttoBeNe will be present at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. The presentation will take place from 5 till 10 April 2006.
This year TuttoBeNe focuses on presenting design that contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle. The applied work will be selected on its social responsible character, and its innovation in economic and ecologic sustainability (in production as well as consumption). The selection committee consist of: Cindy van den Bremen, Paul Hekkert and Danny Venlet. Applicants should apply before 27 January 2006! Please note that designers should be from, or based in, Belgium or The Netherlands.
TuttoBeNe operates on the overlapping field of culture, economics and technology. Through objects, design visualises time, space and way of thinking. Design as a part of the innovation-process creates new business opportunities and therefore supports regional economics. Applying new technologies in design can contribute to a more sustainable environment. Through its international focus TuttoBeNe intends to create broad awareness for this vision.
TuttoBeNe organises collaborative presentation for talented young designers from (or based in) Belgium or The Netherlands. In 2004 and 2005 TuttoBeNe was present at the Milan Furniture Fair. During these two edition more than 30 designer and design collectives showed their work.
